Benita

Benita, originally from Scotland, has lived in Southern Spain since 1996. She has been practising and teaching Reflexology in Ireland, Wales, Canada and Spain since 1989 and works as a reflexologist at Cortijo Romero, Europe's top alternative holiday centre . She also works as a walking guide in La Alpujarra. Benita has been a member of a local poetry group for many years and particularly loves the poetry of Federico Garcia Lorca and Pablo Neruda. She has a great love for this beautiful area, enjoying the Spanish language, countryside, Granada, poetry, Flamenco and a peaceful life.

Jenny

Jenny, also from Scotland, discovered La Alpujarra on route to Morocco in 1979. She returned several times before buying an organic olive farm and settling here in 1988. She loves music, books and good food and has worked for many years as a chef, mainly vegetarian. She and her partner, Trevor, are aficionados of Tai Chi and Karate Do Shotakai, beneficial practices for the mind, body and spirit. She feels privileged to live in such an astonishingly beautiful place and enjoys sharing this with others.
